LAWE was born from a group of people who concern on cultural heritage, especially on hand-weaving tradition.
Founded by five ladies, LAWE transforms traditional hand-woven into functional daily life items used in modern life. This process involve many groups; product designer, sewer, tailors, craftsmen and of course the hand-weavers’ community, which majority are women.
LAWE want to preserve the hand-weaving tradition in Indonesia and simultaneously empower women, encourage women to contribute in improving their livelihood and take part in bringing prosperity to this country.

Mission : Conserving Tradition, Promoting Culture, Empowering Women, Enriching Life.
